Nicholas Redding Selected by The Daily Record as one of the Most Influential Marylanders
In a statement released Feburary 4, 2020, The Daily Record announced that it had selected Preservation Maryland Executive Director Nicholas Redding to receive the 2020 Influential Marylander award
Fifty-two Influential Marylanders were selected by the editors of The Daily Record for their significant contributions to their respective fields and for their leadership in Maryland in the following areas: civic leadership, communications, education, finance, freestyle, general business, health care, law, philanthropy, real estate and technology.
The Daily Record launched Influential Marylanders in 2007 to recognize those who have made significant impacts in their field and continue to be leaders in Maryland.
“Influential Marylanders are visionary, respected and admired for the work they do to improve the lives of Marylanders,” said Suzanne Fischer-Huettner, publisher of The Daily Record. “They are leaders in their respective fields and bring promise to those who benefit from their hard work. We at The Daily Record are proud to recognize them.”
LEADING PRESERVATION INTO THE TWENTY-FIRST CENTURY
Nicholas Redding has led Preservation Maryland since 2014. During his tenure, the organization has experienced dramatic growth, including launching a first-of-its-kind historic trades workforce development program in partnership with the National Park Service, expanding into smart growth advocacy, building a broad bipartisan preservation constituency in Annapolis, capitalizing a historic property redevelopment program and significantly expanding the organization’s visibility through podcasts, websites and social media.
